Luna One warns of a ship fleeing toward Mars. A day before its projected arrival it scatters its 20 life pods, which scatter across Mars. The original ship lands, and Whispers pour out; thousands die in the following battles. The escape pods are empty, but Pale Men are reported on Mars for the first time.
