Laterals who wish to live a feral lifestyle colonize it later, creating a grotto that sensationalist media would feature for decades: a lawless predatory paradise or nightmarish drifting station of horrors, red in tooth and claw. Later, Marsco tears apart the station’s owners for insurance fraud.
