Flying Circus

by Corbeau | Jul 9, 2019 | 0 comments

Summary:A three-dimensional game of navigating and tagging floating bouys and repulsion field jousting.

Teams/Players: Two players, sometimes called “skywalkers.” Having a “Second” to call instructions and spot your opponent for you is common.

Uniforms/Equipment: Uniforms: Anti-gravity boots are the primary requirement for the sport. Japanese school uniforms (for boys or girls) do not appear to be mandatory, but are recommended. An optional “Skywalker” uniform has been made, which has flotation devices built into the sleeves. Equipment: Game is played in a 300 foot court marked by four drifting cylindrical bouys, about five feet long.

Rules/Play: A game of vaulting between the bouys, dodging opponents, and anti-gravity dogfighting. Points are scored by touching bouys or touching your opponent’s back. Additional strategies involve interfering with your opponent’s anti-gravity or using your opponent’s motion to boost your own, as the anti-grav fields of the boots repel each other.

History/Culture: After the discovery of anti-gravity particles, an intense and passionate culture buit up around the game.
